Palermo’s with the Masters of the Cake World!

Palermo’s Bakery took part in the Martha Stewart Weddings and the Wedding Library’s Wedding Party Bridal show at the New York Palace Hotel last Saturday, January 22. The best of the best in the wedding industry were there for the event and brides were able to meet the top vendors that will make their special day the wedding of their dreams.

Each of the rooms of the NY Palace Hotel was decorated in a different theme and the brides had an amazing time looking at the different options that were available to them. We brought in three gorgeous wedding cakes that blew everyone away! The first had a winter theme in silver and white, another with a princess theme with the pillow-inspired design and the last one, an elegant and simple bow and crystal cake. The brides were treated to sample a slice of vanilla cake with custard and strawberries, dark chocolate with chocolate mousse, vanilla with cannoli and of course, red velvet with cream cheese.

Palermo’s own Lidie Mercado, VP for Marketing and Sales, met the gurus of the cake industry: both Ron-Ben Israel and Ms. Sylvia Weinstock. Just like us, they themselves featured gorgeous cake creations at their own rooms. Ron-Ben and Ms. Sylvia were both sweet and inspiring, and they told the team how beautiful they thought our cakes were. It was truly an amazing and surreal experience — a once in a lifetime event. Aside from the masters of the cake world, we also chanced upon Z100′s Carolina Bermudez, who is a bride-to-be! Unfortunately, Joanne Bruno, had to take care of the brides for their cake consultations at the bakery so she was not able to attend this amazing show. We all look forward to being there next year!
