This gorgeous 5-tier fondant wedding cake was made for a special lady. Leighann, a member of the Palermo’s Bakery family got married on May 2011 at the Il Villagio and this hot pink and butterfly theme cake was the centerpiece of her reception. A pressed fondant drape design served as a base for the cake and the next three tiers were decorated with beautiful and delicate swirl and pindot patterns. Crystal pin jewelry and a shimmery luster spray made the cake even more beautiful.

Leighann loves butterflies so aside from the mix gumpaste flowers, butterfly decorations were also used to embellish the cake. As a final touch, the beautifully draped top tier in hot pink and ivory is set atop an intricately designed pillar that has also been sprayed with a luster effect. Leigh, along with everyone else in the reception loved the cake!

Q: What are your cake pricing guidelines?
A: Cake pricing varies greatly depending on the level of detail in the design and the size of the cake itself. Birthday cakes and sheet cakes are the best priced cakes at the expense of design; they range from roughly $19.99 for a six person 7” cake to $150 for a 100 person full sheet cake. Tiered specialty cakes and wedding cakes, on the other hand, begin at $5 to $6 per slice in buttercream and $8 to $15+ per slice for fondant. The best thing to do is to inquire directly with a Palermo sales consultant regarding more exact pricing by phone or email. .

Q: What are your hours?
A: At our Ridgefield Park, NJ location, we are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m – 8:00 p.m; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Our Union City retail store opens later at 7:00am daily. We are open 365 days a year including every major holiday!.
