Fairytale Pillow Wedding Cake

We made this beautiful 4-tier fairytale pillow wedding cake for Lauren and Nick’s wedding. We were able to capture the cinderella theme of this cake by decorating the bottom tier with a gorgeous drape design and the top three tiers with a pillow design. The details on the pillows were that of a quilted pattern, stripes and swirls for the top most. Each of the tiers is also highlighted by a fondant rope trim that goes around the edge with some delicate tassels on the corners. To give it a little bit of a sparkle, some crystal pin jewelry and silver dragees are added on. As a topper, Lauren used a crystal glass slipper to complete the fairytale look.

We want to thank you with our sincere appreciation for the beautiful fairytale pillow cake that you made for our wedding on June 25, 2011 at the Westmount Country Club. Our guests were photographing and raving about the cake all evening. Even the staff at the Westmount and our other vendors were amazed with the cake and how good it tasted. We can’t wait to enjoy it again on our one year anniversary when we eat the top layer.

A: Palermo Bakery’s original retail store and cake gallery is conveniently located at 187 Main St. Ridgefield Park, NJ. For our customers closer to Manhattan, we have recently opened our second location at 3701 Park Ave. Union City, NJ. Q: What are your cake pricing guidelines?
A: Cake pricing varies greatly depending on the level of detail in the design and the size of the cake itself. Birthday cakes and sheet cakes are the best priced cakes at the expense of design; they range from roughly $19.99 for a six person 7” cake to $150 for a 100 person full sheet cake. Tiered specialty cakes and wedding cakes, on the other hand, begin at $5 to $6 per slice in buttercream and $8 to $15+ per slice for fondant. The best thing to do is to inquire directly with a Palermo sales consultant regarding more exact pricing by phone or email. .

Q: What are your hours?
A: At our Ridgefield Park, NJ location, we are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m – 8:00 p.m; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Our Union City retail store opens later at 7:00am daily. We are open 365 days a year including every major holiday!.
