We made this stunning 3-tier buttercream Little Mermaid Cake for Jaiden’s birthday party and it was definitely a big hit!

The tiers on the cake were made to look like the underwater scene of the Little Mermaid by airbrushing the tiers with a water design. Royal icing corals and fondant seashells were also placed around the tiers of the cake as well as some pearl dots to look like bubbles coming up to shore. Of course we had the toy Little Mermaid as a topper, with her tail made in an iridescent bluish green color fondant.

Q: What are your cake pricing guidelines?
A: Cake pricing varies greatly depending on the level of detail in the design and the size of the cake itself. Birthday cakes and sheet cakes are the best priced cakes at the expense of design; they range from roughly $19.99 for a six person 7” cake to $150 for a 100 person full sheet cake. Tiered specialty cakes and wedding cakes, on the other hand, begin at $5 to $6 per slice in buttercream and $8 to $15+ per slice for fondant. The best thing to do is to inquire directly with a Palermo sales consultant regarding more exact pricing by phone or email. .

Q: What are your hours?
A: At our Ridgefield Park, NJ location, we are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m – 8:00 p.m; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Our Union City retail store opens later at 7:00am daily. We are open 365 days a year including every major holiday!.
