Sasha’s Silver and Pink Specialty Birthday Cake

Sasha Romaelle is an excellent event planner and when it came time to plan her own party, she came to us for her cake! Her theme was pink, silver and bling so this buttercream cake was definitely to-the-point. A silver buttercream bottom tier is decorated with open and closed hot pink fondant polka dots, the next tier up is a full hot pink buttercream base studded with sparkly rhinestone jewelry and the top is again a silver buttercream decorated with gorgeous swirls. To complete the look of the cake, beautiful peony gumpaste flowers were added on and of course SASHA’s name in sparkly fondant, standing on the second tier.

A: Palermo Bakery’s original retail store and cake gallery is conveniently located at 187 Main St. Ridgefield Park, NJ. For our customers closer to Manhattan, we have recently opened our second location at 3701 Park Ave. Union City, NJ. Keep on the lookout for our major expansion project in Little Ferry, NJ expected to open in the second half of 2013..

Q: What are your cake pricing guidelines?
A: Cake pricing varies greatly depending on the level of detail in the design and the size of the cake itself. Birthday cakes and sheet cakes are the best priced cakes at the expense of design; they range from roughly $19.99 for a six person 7” cake to $150 for a 100 person full sheet cake. Tiered specialty cakes and wedding cakes, on the other hand, begin at $5 to $6 per slice in buttercream and $8 to $15+ per slice for fondant. The best thing to do is to inquire directly with a Palermo sales consultant regarding more exact pricing by phone or email. .

Q: What are your hours?
A: At our Ridgefield Park, NJ location, we are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m – 8:00 p.m; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Our Union City retail store opens later at 7:00am daily. We are open 365 days a year including every major holiday!.
