The NYC Connection Wedding Cake

When Laura booked her wedding at the Chart House Restaurant in Weehawken, NJ, with its breathtaking view of the New York City skyline, she knew exactly what her wedding theme would be. From the decorations to the invitations, her wedding featured the Big Apple. Of course, she needed a Palermo’s By Design cake to fit in with that theme. Inspired by her New York themed Save the Date invitations, Palermo’s crafted this quirky, topsy turvy cake just for Laura!

This topsy turvy I Love New York cake has an ivory buttercream base decorated with buttercream pindots. Fondant cutouts of the New York City skyline, a taxi cab, and hearts give it the perfect Big Apple touches.

A: Palermo Bakery’s original retail store and cake gallery is conveniently located at 187 Main St. Ridgefield Park, NJ. For our customers closer to Manhattan, we have recently opened our second location at 3701 Park Ave. Union City, NJ. Keep on the lookout for our major expansion project in Little Ferry, NJ expected to open in the second half of 2013..

Q: What are your cake pricing guidelines?
A: Cake pricing varies greatly depending on the level of detail in the design and the size of the cake itself. Birthday cakes and sheet cakes are the best priced cakes at the expense of design; they range from roughly $19.99 for a six person 7” cake to $150 for a 100 person full sheet cake. Tiered specialty cakes and wedding cakes, on the other hand, begin at $5 to $6 per slice in buttercream and $8 to $15+ per slice for fondant. The best thing to do is to inquire directly with a Palermo sales consultant regarding more exact pricing by phone or email. .

Q: What are your hours?
A: At our Ridgefield Park, NJ location, we are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m – 8:00 p.m; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Our Union City retail store opens later at 7:00am daily. We are open 365 days a year including every major holiday!.
