“What’s Up Doc?” Doctor’s Bag Specialty Cake

Give this Doctor’s Bag Cake to your favorite doctor and he’ll be checking his heartbeat with the stethoscope because of the surprise! This cake was made for a good friend of Joanne and Jerry’s, Dr. Anthony Campanella. He celebrated his 60th Birthday party at Dolce Novita at Moonachie and although he is an avid golfer and everyone thought of giving him a golf bag, it was decided that it was best to show off his profession because he is best known to be a great physician. This 3D Doctor’s Bag was covered in full fondant to make it look like patent leather and a fondant blue stethoscope was added on as an accessory. A couple of keys also hang on the handle of the bag to complete the look.

A: Cake pricing varies greatly depending on the level of detail in the design and the size of the cake itself. Birthday cakes and sheet cakes are the best priced cakes at the expense of design; they range from roughly $19.99 for a six person 7” cake to $150 for a 100 person full sheet cake. Tiered specialty cakes and wedding cakes, on the other hand, begin at $5 to $6 per slice in buttercream and $8 to $15+ per slice for fondant. The best thing to do is to inquire directly with a Palermo sales consultant regarding more exact pricing by phone or email. .

Q: What are your hours?
A: At our Ridgefield Park, NJ location, we are open Monday-Thursday and Sunday from 5:30 a.m – 8:00 p.m; Friday and Saturday from 5:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Our Union City retail store opens later at 7:00am daily. We are open 365 days a year including every major holiday!.
